F-22 Lightning II - version 1.00.02.08 

This is the beta release of our upcoming maintenance update. 

The F2210002.EXE archive contains the following files:
	SETUP.EXE	- New Setup supports VESA selection.
	SETUP.CFG	- Default Setup configuration. 
	INSTALL.EXE	- New Install with 
	INSTALL.BIN	- 	VESA fix.
        F22.EXE         - Latest version of F-22 Lightning II 
        LHA.EXE         - Distribution tool 
        LHA.DOC         -     and documentation


This update corrects the following problems:
  Video symptoms:
	Black screens when installing the game.
	Corrupted video in the install or setup screens.
	Divide faults when installing the game.
  
  Sound symptoms:
	Static in digital sound and music
	Crashes caused when trying to use daughterboards

If you already have the game installed:

DOS Users
==========================
Copy this file into the directory that contains the game.
Type F2210002.EXE and press enter.
Answer Y when asked to overwrite files.
You MUST re-run Setup to reconfigure your video and sound after installing
this update.

Windows 95 Users
==========================
-Copy F2210002.EXE into your F-22 folder.
-Double-click on F2210002.EXE
-When prompted, select Y to overwrite files.
-You MUST double-click on Setup to reconfigure your video and sound after installing this update.

  
If you have been unable to install the game:

DOS Users
==========================
-Create a directory for F-22 on the drive you wish to install the game to.
For example, at the C:\> prompt type
	MD F22
and press enter.  This will create a directory called F22 on your hard drive.  
-Copy the F2210002.EXE file into this directory.  
-Make sure the F-22 CD is in your CD ROM drive.
-Change to the directory and type F2210002.EXE to execute the file.  This will
 extract the update files.
-At the C:\F22> prompt type
	INSTALL D:
where D: is your CD ROM drive.  If your CD drive is another letter, substitute
the correct letter for D.
-Press the Enter key.
-Follow the installation procedure as described in the manual.


Windows 95 Users
==========================
-You must create a folder on the drive you wish to install the game to.  
-Double-click on My Computer.
-Double-click on your hard drive.
-From the File Menu, select New, then Folder.
-A new folder will appear in the window, with the name New Folder highlighted.
-Delete the words New Folder and type F22, then press enter.  The folder will
 now be named F22.
-Copy the F2210002.EXE file into the F22 folder.
-Double-click on the F2210002.EXE file in the F22 directory.  This will
 extract the update files.
-When prompted, select Y to overwrite files.
-Click on Start.
-Click on Run.
-Click on Browse.
-Select your hard drive.
-Select the F22 folder.
-Double-click on INSTALL.EXE.
-The Open: line will now say C:\F22\INSTALL.EXE
-Add your CD ROM drive letter to the end of this line, seperated by a space;
it should now read
C:\F22\INSTALL.EXE D: (or the letter of the CD ROM that contains the F-22 CD).
-Click on OK to install the game. 
-Follow the installation procedure as described in the manual.
